We definitely see our fair share of junk, but we do love resurrecting pieces that just have some inherent qualities that reach out to us. But it is sure nice once in awhile to get a piece of furniture, or two in this case, that are well-built and in great shape, despite their years.
Never, ever overlook the "Free" bin at a garage sale. I'm preaching to the choir here, because I, yes I, queen junker extrordinaire, overlooked the end of the driveway in pursuit of the costly goods inside. My keen garage-saler, sister-in-law, scooped up this very stinky pile of cheap entertainment. Oh, we do have fun together at the small-town sales over Labor Day weekend!
This week is all about saying goodbye to summer at my house! Cheryl and I were both discussing the fact that we hadn't decorated our houses since before the big grad parties. Think the last time I touched any decor was April or May, which means the Apple Blossoms are looking kind of tired! And of course, the week after occasional I always have a date with the dust bunnies!
