Yesterday's vacation post was all about a wonderful building, so thought today I'd share some of the natural beauty that enveloped us in Northern Minnesota. I'm so inspired by beauty-especially that which the Creator made, and I was awestruck at how everything we enjoyed was on a grander scale. Here's my "every-thing's bigger and better" in Northern Minnesota review of the week!
Water is clearer and deeper.
Hills are rockier and steeper.
Moss is greener and lichen is greyer.
Loons are louder and more plentiful.
Roots are thicker and more exposed.
Outhouses are more rustic (if you even have them availailable).
Lily-pads are abundant...is it true that it's illegal to pick the flowers? I won't say why I'm askin'...
Ferns are thicker and more varied.
Air is cleaner and families are tired-er.
Where did you go this summer? Did you go near or far? I'd love to hear about it and give Mr. Fix-it the opportunity to get his maps back out and plan our next trip. These kids are getting big fast, and we want to enjoy them while we can!
I still may have to post one more time about our vacation, before we let you know what we've cooked up for this next occasional-Labor Day weekend!
