Welcome to our home. Christmas has come and gone, but before we say good-bye to the season(and Hallmark movies), and put away the Christmas dishes, thought I'd share a bit of our home with you. Like Lora, I'm using a point and shoot camera and the lighting is less than professional. A nice SLR camera is on my wish list along with a book deal, new furniture, flooring and the list goes on....
Back to R house.
Added a few faux trees to make the entry cabinet a bit festive. This cabinet is on my 2013 list of "to be painted", want to see the vintage china stand out. I'm still looking for some small live looking faux trees (non-bottle brush) to add to the large china hutch in our living room with my "Old Country Roses" china. Any ideas?
I don't normally display red in our home throughout the year, but at Christmas, the red comes out. Was tempted to add a little burlap with the chicken feeder to add to the rustic feel, but decided I liked the stark white look instead.
The corner cabinet on the landing of our staircase. It was a "side of the road" find, looked more like a brown canoe when we found it on the curb. A little elbow grease, coat of paint and it was just what our staircase needed.
I love the look and smell of fresh greens, I like to add them when I can to the faux ones to make them look their best.
