He attached feet (fence post tops) to the bottom to raise the unit off the garage floor to keep everything dry when the snow melts off the cars in the winter. I usually move all the snow boots to the basement for the summer and re-organize the shelves with our summer shoes... but it's been a very busy year at our house. I figure why bother now.
Brian attached a wooden shutter to the wall to give me a space to decorate seasonally. Gota have a little cuteness in the garage. My mom requested a handrail, and Brian willingly installed one shortly after we moved in.
A church pew from our old sanctuary that was no longer needed after our new whorship center was built. It works great here, the only challenge is keeping it free from clutter (especially mine after a great garage sale). It's been clutter free for three months, hope that means I've made it a permanent habit. A set of distressed hooks to keep things handy.
The garage can be functional and fun!
