I've been planting and growing Gerbera Daisies for several years, and the key to getting them to bloom is ...
Bloom Booster
I don't follow the directions on the box, I just add one scoop of Bloom Booster to each watering can(oops, just realized I forgot to add my cute vintage galvanized watering can to this pic, oh well) full of water I use to water my flowers. Yes, I give them Bloom Booster almost every time I water them. If I'm in a hurry or it's really hot and they get watered a couple times a day, then no, they don't get Bloom Booster each time.
For many years I've planted Gerberas among other flowers in the window boxes on our deck. I've noticed over the seasons that my Gerberas get lost among the other plantings. They seem to be the weaker species and don't fight for their space.
This spring I decided to try something different, I planted them in a few buckets all by themselves. They love it! I guess they like having their own space to flourish.
I don't claim to have a green thumb,
(at least not without my green nail polish)
but Bloom Booster makes me look like I do.
