I always have a lengthy list of people and concerns on my prayer list, but recently the page of health concerns is unusually long.
Every day is a gift from God and not to be taken for granted, squandered or taken lightly.
Life(days) is busy...
- kids, family
- maintaining a household(laundry, cooking, dishes, ironing, cleaning, grocery shopping etc.)
- careers
- church responsibilities
- juggling/balancing family schedules
- exercise
- relaxation and play time
Our days on earth are numbered and we should use them wisely.
Time Management is always a hot topic in a new calendar year. We're all doing life the best way we know how. We plan, strategize and try to keep all the plates spinning and the scale of life in balance.
The days of long "to do" lists and packed schedules can at times seem insurmountable. When I spend time with God and give my day to Him, He blesses me with Energizer Bunny capabilities. He seemingly adds hours to the clock to conquer my day's quests.
On the days when I awake and hit the floor running on my own to tackle the day, it's a different story. The clock seems to spin twice as fast and each task takes twice as long. You'd think I'd learn by now, I guess we all need reminding once in a while.
Life is full of schedules and time constraints, some seasons of life are less busier than others and allow us more flexibility.
It's a new year, take a look at your calendar, spend a few moments analyzing how you spend your time. Do you notice any places where adjustments should be made?
This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
