Bright, happy, pansies are in at the local garden centers! I picked up a few for the store this past weekend, and thought I'd inspire you to get your green thumb on and plant up a few for your home enjoyment.
You could just go the Costco bowl route, but what's the fun and creativity in that?
Once you pick out your favorite pansies and violets, gather some moss and some sticks, and maybe even some other fun add-ins...
A spring-y ribbon can be tied around your pot, or make a pretty bow and stick it in the dirt with a Upin, or half a large paper clip.
For natural texture, add a rattan or grapevine sphere. A mini nest would work, too.
If you have any fake birds hanging around, they can add a little whimsy and life.
I even added some great junk, in true Patina General style; a wood caster, a knife, and a spring.
And now I get to enjoy these and keep them alive and growing until May Occasional! I think they'll be perfect little gifts for Mother's Day weekend.
