When your days don't go as planned...

We all live by a weekly/monthly calendar of schedules, events and to do lists. Nothing that has happened lately has been on my calendar.

 A small water stain appeared in the ceiling of our basement... so a gorgeous Saturday is spent inside with my husband, measuring and cutting holes on all three levels of our house to locate the cracked pipe.

Our water softner had issues... no soft water for a week. No sense doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms with 20 grain hard water that's full of minerals. Behind on my to do list again.

Sick and on the couch for four days... those four days were slotted on the calendar as my "tackle a few project days"

Received more rain in 12 hours than our little rain gauge could hold. Over 6 inches of rain yesterday. Spent the evening hunkered down in our basement due to tornado threats.

My schedule has not gone as planned, my to do list is now larger(with holes in the walls to fix), but God has been there through it all. The water softner is up and running again, the pipe is fixed, I'm healthy again and our home was free of damage through the storms. Praise the Lord! Maybe now I can get back to sharing some prettier pics with you.

I'm hoping the rest of the summer goes a little smoother, but if there are more bumps in the road, I know God will be by my side to walk me through them too.
