More Fall Decorating... at "R" House

I love decorating with "JUNK" all year round, but fall, rusty metal, and primitive wood just seem to go hand in hand.

Red is not my normal go to color in clothes or when decorating our home, but I do enjoy using barn red in the fall. I like the crisp look of red and white at Christmas in our kitchen.

I always look forward to bringing out my vintage kerosene lamps in the fall to cozy up the lighting in our home.

A hanky drawer from the top of a dresser adds a little architecture to this vignette and gives the lamp a heighten place of importance.

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lanterns are another fall favorite for me to add a cozy glow.

I love adding special fall touches around our home. This year I'm missing my tall corner cupboard on our stairwell to decorate for the fall season. The sheet rocker is still trying to work us into his schedule after our pipe replacement.

You can never have too much texture when it comes to fall decorating. I love putting together little "fall samplers" as I call them. This is a large vintage pottery bowl with fall filler. I also like to use wooden pop crates, wooden bowls, metal trugs and trays, basically any item with a rustic look or great patina.
