There is a little farmhouse right up the hill from our church home that's breathing it's last breath today. It's occupant once owned all the property. Thankfully, there were people who reached out and showed love to this homeowner. He's enjoying his heavenly palatial home now, because of them.

As I take the Christmas decor down in my home, I ponder the events of the last weeks. During the holidays, I had the sad privilege of attending the funerals of two wise men, who each used their gifts to bless those around them, and glorify their Lord. The celebrations of their lives impressed upon me what Ephesians 6:7 encourages, "Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men." (NIV)
